Audio setup: → Advanced settings
- Driver: Enables you to choose between drivers if, for example, ASIO driver is being used. Android version gives the option to pick between Android Audio and Android OpenSL drivers. If on Android and you encounter latency issues, try switching to a different driver.
Input device: Choose the input device used for recognition. The inbuilt microphone of the device is chosen as default, unless the instrument is connected using an audio interface.
Input channel: The input channel should automatically be set to the first available one. If you are using an external audio interface with multiple channels, you can change the channel in Yousician to match the one you are using on your interface.
Buffer size: This setting is available on iOS and Android versions. Smaller buffer will decrease audio latency, but it may cause performance issues. Larger buffer will have longer audio latency, but better performance.
MIDI sensitivity: Some keyboards have the ability to perceive how hard/soft a key is played. The more strength used, the louder the sound produced. With higher sensitivity chosen, Yousician produces the MIDI sound accordingly. When using a mobile device and if the piano sound is delayed, set the buffer size to 256 or lower. This setting is available when a keyboard is connected to the device used.
Song data cache: If you are having trouble loading songs on your device, try clearing the cache with this option.
Fullscreen (desktop only): Although you can adjust the screen size by simply dragging it with your mouse, you can also switch to full screen mode by toggling the option on.
Pre-song chord trainers (guitar & ukulele): Toggle on to rehearse chords before playing a song.
Left-handed mode: Toggle on for left handed players.
Colorblind mode: Change the game play colors; current available themes are Protanopia, Deuteranopia and Tritanopia with stringed instruments.
Today's goal achievement screen: Toggle off (gray) to stop Daily goal updates.
