Posture

Sitting correctly at the piano gives you more control over what you are playing.

Sit with your back straight and relax your shoulders.  Your legs should be uncrossed and planted firmly on the floor (or on a footstool if your legs are not long enough to reach the floor).  Your body should not be tense in any way.

Check periodically to see if you are maintaining proper posture.
